How to request deletion of your personal data

At Uptake Agency, we respect your right to control your personal data. You can request deletion of any personal data we hold about you using one of the methods below.

Method 1: Reply STOP via WhatsApp

If you are receiving WhatsApp messages from a business using our platform, simply reply STOP to any message. This will:

  • Immediately opt you out of all future WhatsApp communications from that business
  • Flag your data for review and deletion

Method 2: Email Request

Send an email to request complete deletion of your data:

  1. Send an email to [email protected]
  2. Use the subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
  3. Include your phone number and/or the name of the business you interacted with
  4. We will confirm receipt within 3 business days
  5. Your data will be deleted within 30 days
  6. You will receive a confirmation email when deletion is complete

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete the following data associated with you:

  • Your contact information (phone number, name)
  • Your appointment and service history
  • Your product purchase records
  • Message delivery logs associated with your phone number
  • Any other personally identifiable information linked to your account

Data That May Be Retained

In certain cases, we may retain limited data as required by law:

  • Legal obligations: Financial records and invoices as required by Turkish commercial law (retained for the legally mandated period)
  • Anonymized data: Aggregated, non-identifiable statistical data that cannot be linked back to you

Note: Data deletion from our systems does not affect data that has been independently stored by Meta/WhatsApp or by the business you interacted with. To request deletion from Meta, visit Meta's data deletion page.

Deletion Request Status

If you have submitted a deletion request and received a confirmation code, you can check the status of your request by emailing [email protected] with your confirmation code.
